Description
This Sheepshead Bay roast-beef icon was founded in 1970, and not much has changed since then. Balloons, banners, and a palette of mustard yellows and browns adorn the cozy interior. Locals snag booths to hunch over the enormous slow-roasted sandwiches—one of the city's finest specimens of the form. Other menu standard-bearers include the turkey sandwich, the hamburger and corn fritters. A sign by the register announces: "You can have cheez on anything you pleez."
