SO GOOD!! This review is based solely on their food. I've ordered delivery from here twice but I've never in fact been to the restaurant. The auburn salad, miso soup, gyoza and rolls are delicious. Everything is so fresh. You can actually taste the dissimilarity because of the freshness.

I love this place. The owner and the waitress is super friendly and the food is very tasty. We drive all the way from LI to Forest hills just to satisfy our cravings. All the ingredient used are so fresh. The main chef also customize my rolls bc of a certain food limit and it was just as good.

Horrible service! I ordered a release and when the guy showed up, nothing I ordered was in the bag, plus the bill was $10 higher than I predictable. He called the restaurant, and the man on thephone told me that when I said "spring roll" he heard "rainbow roll". Don't really know how. The man barely spoke or unspoken English.

Where do I begin? I've been to many Sushi places all over including Manhattan, I'm new to Yelp so I haven't reviewed much yet, but stay tuned for more reviews. All I have to say is, I don't need to go to the city to get my fresh fish sushi fix any longer. When we first walked in the place was pretty empty I figure it wasn't a great sign but I got a Restaurant.com gift official document so I decided to use it up,we were seated at the bar, the chefs and waitress were very nice and attentive.

unluckily the quality has dropped and I'm very let down to say that I will be searching for a new place to enjoy my spicy tuna roll.

All their sushi is made fresh and tasty. I enjoy their area of expertise rolls as well as their traditional spicy tuna crunch rolls etc. Prices are not too bad but little on the pricey side

The sushi is in fact decent for Forest Hills. I tend to get the sushi and sashimi combo at most places as it's a great way to sample all. We also got the specialty roll with crabmeat and scallops on top (totalemotago roll?). We carefully enjoyed the specialty roll. On it's own, the food is good.

Sushi Akio swoop right in after Sushi Yasu moved to a new location, and Akio obviously wants to maintain the level of popularity of the location. It even designed an "Akio Roll" that is suspiciously similar to the popular Marilyn Monroll in Yasu (though the Akio Roll is not as good).

ideal local sushi spot with quality and taste. The location of the shop is a bit out of the way from any local train stations but there is a bus near by. The shop is small and can take as many as 15 people. The sushi taste really fresh and the quality is great allow for it is a small and private shop. You can watch the sushi be made and even see the class of the fish that is being used.

The reason to try Akio is because I got some credit on restaurant.com and found Akio within the distance. I am almost surely going to repeat other reviewer but here it goes. You will most likely missed the place driving by, it's small, more like where you will usually find a typical Chinese togo place. It's summer and when we walked in the temperature is hotter within the restaurant than outside. That's a no-no for me. Who want to have sushi in a warm/humid restaurant.

Had a craving for some tuna sashimi and tried this place for the first time. The sashimi was very fresh and tasted great, and the avocado roll was also delicious (could have been a little better, but it was fine). I got the rice paper because I don't like nori. Great little spot on Yellowstone and closer than the sushi spots on Austin! absolutely recommend!

We ordered a take-out order on the weekend and sushi that was delivered was not fresh at all. Sushi time is means improved option than this place. I have not been at the restaurant so I cannot comment on the in-restaurant dining experience and I just know that the quality of the food thatwe ordered was not worth the price.

Best damn (reasonably priced) Sushi I have experienced. Not a imagine place by any stretch but clean and tidy with a enjoyable staff. I have been back many times and picked up take out. Easily 5 stars for the sushi foodie. Def give it a try.

Tiny BYOB place. Fast service honest sushi. A bit grungy, would help if they clean it up and took down the paper signs.

I've only ever gotten take-out from Sushi Akio, and so far so good! I live about 3 blocks away so delivery time never exceed 20 minutes. The sushi has always been time after time fresh and flavorful.

Their vegetable sushi rolls are very good. They taste great but are rolled a little looser than preferred so they fall apart sometimes. They also have a 15$ minimum on credit cards which can be not convenient for those who do not carry cash.

This area restaurant does a great job on my favorite--smoked BBQ eel. Their steam dumplings were also amazing. Be prepared to pay a little more for this entre but it was well worth it. As a famous American once said: I'll be Back!!!"

One of the best sushi places I've ever been too, hands down!! Food-the sushi was bomb!! Spicy tuna, spicy salmon, eel and avocado, and the Cali roll were all freshly made and tasty. Shrimp tempura was pretty good too. Also was given an exotic starter on the house.. Dunno what I did to get that (I mentioned yelp so that might be it) it was the mango yaya (or was it gaga..). Food also came very quickly which is a great plus.

Now that I've had the chance to try their particular rolls (HotateMasago, Avatar, and Sun Fire)... I can truly say that this place is a concealed gem in Queens. Boyfriend and I get the Spicy Maki Combo and a special roll to satisfy our sushi cravings. The server and the sushi chefs are the nicest too. After coming back a 5th time, they know my face lol.

This place has very fresh sushi. They even have live uni and real fresh cut wasabi, not the per-packaged paste stuff. But they only have sushi, no other Japanese food. And a little on the classy side. But still, very good class.

You walk into the restaurant and you question if it's actually a restaurant. It's dark with a few tables and it's barely even bedecked. To get to the bathroom, you walk through the kitchen which made me lose my hunger. We ordered the 15 piece sashimi($30) and a spicy tuna roll($5). Let me just say that we left hungry and the food was just okay at best. Service was okay.

The food here is honestly wonderful. Best sushi I've ever had. I definitely would do delivery from here as the service is awful. My friend and I sat down and waited about 10 minutes until we had to ask to order. We ordered a garden salad and a seaweed salad. The garden salad came right away. After waiting about 5 minutes we asked where the seaweed salad was the waitress said it wasn't ready but the chef said it was waiting on the contradict

This is almost certainly my number 1 favorite sushi place. The rolls are tasty and fresh. Only complaint is that it's a bit pricey. $15 for a roll at a dingy place isnt the best....

I love sushi. And I eat a lot of it. This was a unsatisfactory delivery experience so maybe it is better there. Ordered delivery.com: Japanese spring roll app (came with 3) it was ehh. Nothing special but will hit the spot if you need a little deep fried.

I've become a regular at Sushi Akio, have worked at a sushi joint, and have something to say about all the reviews that are comment unconstructively on the quality of sushi: If you say the sushi isn't good here and the fish isn't fresh, you clearly do not know what you are talking about to begin with. If you want high quality and fresh-as-can-be sushi, you are going to go to one of those expensive places where you don't use soy sauce. It's a different experience completely.
