Extraordinary Hibachi Steakhouse and Amazing Sushi.

Here are some FAQ's to keep in mind:

1) There is currently a $10 charge to bring your own Birthday Cake. This covers the handling, cutting and serving of your party. We do lots of birthday parties, we are not good at surprises but are working on it. :)

2) There is a minimum charge at the Hibachi tables. If you are sitting at the tables and want to share 1 meal the minimum charge is $7. The portions are large and sharing is fine but the seat will run $7.

3) Reservations are highly recommended on Friday and Saturday nights. Reservations are seated at the next available table and within 20 minutes. Walkins on a busy night can expect to wait 45 mins or more.

4) You can request your favorite chef but filling that request can be very difficult. We make every effort to do so. Not all chefs do the same tricks but they all do the same fire show. If you are a regular you know which chef to request. ;)

A frequent customer here, as the service is exceptional. The hibachi is the best around at a great price and the sushi is amazing as well. Great place to come for a late dinner or an early lunch and all in between. Amazing for groups Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese meal expediently located. 5 stars.

Hibachi place located in the Atlas Park Mall in Glendale. We always go to the Hibachi side for the show, and the freshly prepared food. Decor is nice, place is clean, and staff is friendly. more often than not not to hard to get tables during the week, but you may have to wait for hibachi service until the table is at least 1/2 full. The food prep show really depends on which chef you get. They have ranged from competent if not flashy, to really really amusing.

I been here on a few occasion but have always forgot to review it. I even celebrated my birthday here about four years ago. My review is only for the hibachi side since I have never ate sushi here. There is something really fun about hibachi since its like dinner and a show. I been here with just one person and also in a large group and they have always been really nice and the experience have always been great. I forever get either chicken or steak teriyaki since it's pretty good here with some fried rice.

When I entered, it wasn't that crowded. There were two areas: the dining area to the left of the entrance, and the hibachi area to the right of the entry. I sat in the hibachi area and saw a large group just finishing their meal. I saw tables at the patio. I sat with two other party. I ordered the fish and chips and the hibachi sirloin steak. The fish and chips were sashimi salmon and tuna on top of fried lotus root chips. The sirloin steak is grilled and cut into cubes. We had fun while we had our lunch. While the chef is giving us some rice to catch in our mouths, the group at the patio saw us.

I came here again with a friend. Came here for a reservation at 7:30 pm. When making the reservation, I made a request that we wanted to be sited in a hibachi table. Waited for a few minutes for a table. We seated with two other parties. The place was very loud and lively. When I wanted to place our orders, I wanted to order the Long Island duck and the New Zealand lamb, but my friend warned me that I wouldn't finish it. Instead, I ordered the duck and the starter combo. I realize I didn't order their fried rice, so I asked the waiter for some white rice. During the performance, I was able to catch the rice with my mouth. I saw that the duck also built-in pear. The pear was ripe and sweet and the duck was moist and chewy.

almost certainly one of my favorite sushi places in the area. I usually come here when I want super fresh sushi, because their sushi regular has the freshest fish I have ever had. The pieces are large and no piece is bad. My dad even eats their salmon and he hates salmon. The rolls are also delicious. Huge fan of their double double roll, which is jake and shrimp. The only thing I don't like love here is their Kani salad. It's expensive and doesn't really resemble what a kani salad usually looks like. It's not bad, but just nothing wonderful. The place is expensive though so be warned. It's usually about double what I pay at most sushi places in queens. It's definitely more manhattan prices but the food makes it worth it.

The food is wonderful. My son loves eating here. I can't believe the chef got my son to eat seafood and vegetables. The chef is very funny. The first time we came here was in Valentine's Day and we have been coming here ever since. The staff is very friendly.

Sushi bar is great and the drinks are good too. I love the frozen lemonade. This is the only place We could eat sushi with our kids on the same table they love the chicken fried rice. The price is right. It is worth it. The ability looks clean and very neat.

My friend and I stumble upon this place while exploring Atlas mall. When we went in, we were surprised that they had hibachi and since none of us ever had hibachi before, we thought that it would be a good experience. The show itself was quite entertaining and the chef tries to be very engaging with the patrons. The amount of extras you get was very kind. You get onion soup, salad, vegetables, rice, noodles or bean sprouts, and shrimp appetizer. My friend and I decided to get the steak and shrimp combo. Since we were sharing, there wasn't that much meat available. They also charge you extra $7.50 for sharing your food. Fried rice is extra as well. The food itself was okay, nothing too special as well the fact that it is cooked in front of you.

Went here in Shiro in Atlas park(Cooper Avenue) for dinner with a party of 8. The table service is great but the waiting time to be seated is unduly 15 min. long ( plenty of tables available and not too many customer). The price is way too expensive! I appreciate that in the menu it says prices are subject to change but I'm not expecting its going to be way too much!!! Definitely not going back here and will not recommend. Anyway the food portion and the taste is not that great for the price.

My boyfriend and I came here yesterday after our movie date. We determined to do hibachi. After sitting down, our server gave us menus and hot towels for our hands. She told us the table was ours unless someone else came then we would have to share. Luckily the people whom we shared the table with were an older nice couple. We had ordered drinks, my boyfriend ordered a beer and asked for water and i ordered a frozen strawberry margarita. We were still unsure of what to get to eat. The couple that had just sat down we're nice enough to tell us about a coupon Shiro had on their website. It was a dinner for two special which is only obtainable Monday through Friday. You had the option of chicken & steak, chicken& shrimp, and steak & chicken. We decided on chicken and steak. The special includes onion soup, house salad, hibachi shrimp, sautéed vegetables, noodles or bean sprouts and white rice. We also order a separate side of their fried rice, it's a little extra but absolutely worth getting. I love that they are very attentive to their customers concerns over allergies, they asked before I could even tell them I am allergic to shrimp. My boyfriend like shrimp so the chef made sure to make the shrimp last on the grill.

Some friends told me about this place and determined to try it out one night for dinner. I must say, I had a good time. This location is located in Atlas mall, so you would think the parking state of affairs would be really good. Not the case, they only have paid parking. Very inexpensive, but I don't agree with malls that only have paid parking spots (kind of a pet peeve of mine, lol). The restaurant has two section, the hibachi section and a section with regular seating. At the regular seating section you can order platters and I THINK hibachi as well (not 100% as we did not sit there). The hibachi section has the hibachi tables...where the show happens. It was a weekend, so they were pretty busy. With that said, there was no wait for the regular section and a short wait for the hibachi tables (about 10 minutes).

unluckily for my wallet I go here all the time. I only go to their hibachi part of the restaurant but they have the usual dinner table seating on the other side. In the number of times I've gone I've only ever experienced one bad cook and one bad waiter. Definitely try them. They are good and it's a big place. I also advocate calling ahead. And I also recommend not seating towards the back, like by the bathrooms because there is no heating.

Never disapointed here. Saketinis, and white russians. Sushi side is for all time quieter and you can still order the same food as the hibachi

The food was good and the restaurant was not busy at around 6 pm on the summer Saturday we visited. I was told that while sitting in the dining area I would not be able to order a hibachi style meal. I wound up having a similar steak dish, they were helpful in making sure my order was to my liking as my "first choice" for dinner was not available. My boyfriend got the chef special and was unable to finish his meal as the dish was most likely meant for 2. While the restaurant was clean and the food was good, I was not wowed by anything I saw or taste.

This isn't my first time visiting this restaurant and every time I go I leave very VERY satisfied. It's simply the best. They absolutely can give Benihana a run for their money. Benihana although good has the name and a number of things Shiro has and they don't. The chef seemed a little tired maybe his day was about to end but the FOOD DELISH! That part never disappoint your chef can change but that taste! Delectable and NEVER DISAPPOINTED. I got the steak and scallops. The vegetables can use a bit more variety but let's face it no one does hibachi for vegetables lol! Go to Shiro! Enjoy!

I loved this place. I came here last night with my family for my mother's birthday and they were all super nice and the service was great. I easily made a condition for a party of 9 yesterday morning and got seated fairly quickly upon arrival. The waiter was super attentive and our chef was hilarious. We also bought a cake for my mother and they were cool about it and sang her happy birthday. My family had an wonderful time. I will come back. Also, don't forget to ask for Alberto to be your chef!

I sit sushi side and there was quiet and I could eat health Japanese sushi! The other side was Teppan yaki (Hibachi,?? means grill in front of you). There were many people and heavy foods. I ate lobster roll but it was tasty miso soup and hot green tea heal me. It's real Japanese style.

Compare to Arirang, this place sucks. Compare to other hibachi, this place was mediocre. The chef didnt put much of a show on. Their fried rice cost extra but it wasn't worth the extra money. Super let down in this place. Will never come back. It took forever for the waiter to bring us water. How hard is it to get water??? We had to ask them several times for it and finally towards the end of the night, we got some water. The site wasn't that great either. It is located inside Atlas mall where you have to pay for parking. Street parking is limited and dangerous.

This place was astonishingly better than expected. The prices weren't actually that expensive so I was pregnant average sushi, however the food was fresh and the service was quick.
