I like it alot, ordered Sushi luxury, came with soup & salad - some places give you one only. The Sushi was super fresh. Enjoyed it much. Soup had more flavor here. The release was super fast, not even 12 mins & they were here. That's fast in my book.

This review is a based on one delivery order from Okawa. To sum up what I received, I was very frightened with what we got. Since, I'm the "Cheap Guy", I enjoy frugal whenever I order food. I noticed on their Delivery.commenu that they offered a six roll special with soup or salad for about $30. I jumped at the chance to order because I knew it was a good deal. Most maki rolls in Manhattan are about $5.50 and above, so it was a pleasure to see a restaurant where most rolls are between $4 and $5.50. We ordered tuna avocado, salmon avocado, shrimp tempura, king, and spicy tuna rolls. Our order arrived in a very sensible amount of time, about 45 minutes from the time of order. I opened the take out bag and was pleasantly surprised by:

Good rolls. Smaller but well fair rolls. Friendly staff. However, the tempura is not really Japanese tempura. Japanese tempura shell is typically a thin coat of wheat flour, egg and water mixture, but Okawa used panko (bread crumbs) for the shell part, which makes it something usually called fry in Japan (i.e., ebi fry - shrimp fry). The Okawa version of tempura tasted good and I liked it, but it was just not the typical tempura I likely. I mentioned this to the server one night at Okawa, but not sure if I was able to communicate it well.

Yesterday I was here with a few good friends, this is my first time here dining, I ordered the optional sipcy girl roll and chicken teriyaki entree, I feel great! I actually like the setting and food here, and I think I would come here often with my friends for dinner, which is actually a good choice

I will be back! I kept meaning to try this restaurant for awhile and so glad I actually did. The experience was totally lovely, from sitting at the bar with the sushi experts in front of us and them greetings us to the waiter and waitress checking up on us. The staff was really friendly! :) I ordered the volcano roll and my friend ordered the Godzilla roll. Edamame and miso soup for appetizer. So happy with those choices. ideal for someone who wants fish, but not huge pieces of it.

Wow. Im still waiting for my delivery. I placed my order at 8:30pm, its 9:45pm now and still no food. Update: The release guy came at 9:50pm. The food was good and still warm, though the chicken skewers was a bit dry its still edible. Tofu Teriyaki was nicely cooked. I guess, the release time can be fix next time and there will be no problem.

This is very similar to Tomo on 86street and 37ave. Its a tasty and local sushi joint that I would definitely come back to and even order food to go. The service was on point and the waiter was very attentive. We ordered veggie gyozas and edamame to start. 3 regular rolls: shrimp avocado, shrimp tempura and spicy salmon crunch roll. We also split a particular dragon roll. The rolls were just right, not too much rice and not too little. We also split two desserts: the fried banana (pretty tasty but a little too much tempura batter) and red bean ice cream.

Neither the staff working at the time or the ambiance was Japanese, so that took away a little bit of the experience. However, they do a good job at delivering decent food with fun presentation, at fair prices and friendly service. I may not race back, but I would absolutely drop by again.

The service was great. The food was tasty and the price was fair. I had the lunch Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box. It was big! A little bit of everything.

One of my favorite area spots. It's high quality, fairly priced, and although it is a small space its never too loud or crowded. The chicken teriyaki bento box is my go to! It's delicious, comes with a lot of sides, and isn't too expensive! The sushi is always fresh and tasty as well. They have a nice selection of sake as well as beer and wine. I've been here many times, and I will continue including it on my short list of places to eat in Jackson Heights.

I'm new to the area, and this is by far the best sushi restaurant I've encounter so far. The fish is always fresh and their delivery is always on time! They have an wonderful deal for their lunch special which is 3 rolls for $9.95. You actually can't beat that price for the size of the rolls that they give-which are nicely sized and leave me full every time! I would recommend giving this place a try.

Ordered three dissimilar dinner bento boxes for delivery and was not impressed at all. Did not help that the food arrived completely cold. Shumai...just hardly steamed, chicken katsu was so thin, we weren't sure if there was even chicken in it. Terribly overpriced for what you get. I will say however, they do pack delivery orders with care. Rice and sauces were packed separately so other bento components did not get soggy and items stacked well with the salad on top; keeping the heat from wilting the leaves. But again the bento was cold anyway. Will not be ordering from here again.

So tasty! Had the chicken teriyaki bento box (lunch) and enjoy it so much! The only thing that I did not like was the ginger dressing on the salad. It was too thick and tangy for my liking... otherwise, the service was great, food was tasty and price was perfect!!

I used to love this place! Been ordering for years. Today ordered the lunch special vegetable teriyaki. The dish was typically onions not good! When I called to complain they couldn't know why I was upset. I will no longer order from this place

I ordered from here a few times and it content my sushi craving. 3 roll lunch with soup or salad is $9.99, which is nice-looking cheap. Delivery takes a bit of time so make sure to order well in advance. I didn't like their ginger dressing for the salad. It's a bit more creamy than others.

This place doesn't get enough credit. Sushi is fresh and almost certainly the best I've had in NYC. I usually don't see it being too crowded and that's a little unsatisfactory, but I assume a lot of people order to go since I always see delivery guys running around. Anyway, I definitely recommend it. Please try it and keep unique small businesses in our area afloat!

I have never been here in person but I have always ordered them through Seamless and they have never let down me, Fish is fresh (Sashimi special, and the lunch particular), delivery is solid (they have never made mistake), other than that I'll post another review if I ever go to their restaurant

I have never been here in person, but I have ordered from okawa COUNTLESS times. Their delivery is always solid, typically accurate, and if there are any issues, they try their best to sort it out over the phone. I normally order the seaweed salad - which although a bit pricy for me, hits the spot. The rolls are solid. I can't say this is THE BEST sushi I've ever had, but it's okay and does the job. I've never found anything unsanitary about their food, either, which is a plus. I generally get the California roll because I have a very sensitive stomach to fish that isn't fresh. However, my boyfriend has ordered their spicy salmon and salmon avocado before and has never had any complaint.
