I hear service sucks so luckily we did release! Well, that took forever too but when it came... OMFG! I ordered seaweed udon (only 7.50?) and ended up with the best damn bucket of perfectly experienced broth, hot yummy noodles, bright, plentiful seaweed, with gigantic pieces of broccoli, cabbage, imitation crab meat, and mushroom.... LOVE IT!!!

Overall: I only order release from here which is better than all the other Japanese places here from a delivery standpoint. If i were to crave cheap delivery Japanese, I choose this place over the others, hence the 4 stars. Pros: Super fast delivery. Good prices. English Speaking person (never got an order wrong) Food is decent for the prices. Cons: For what it is, cheap Japanese remove, it is not bad.

Like some of the reviewers, I work from across the street of this place. I used to go over there on a weekly basis. Now days not so much simply because the food and services have gone downhill. Staff was friendly when I last order in December 2015. That was for take out, because my co workers and I stopped eating over there any longer. They are running the restaurant like a family daycare, to me, it's a bit too much. The owner's children were running and live around inside the restaurant.

I love love love this restaurant. I live right around the block so I order from here fairly often. I have never had discolored tuna or bony unagi. Their sushi is always fresh and delicious. Their hot lunches and mixture/bento boxes are great too - teriyaki, katsu, negimaki...all delicious. Not all on the menu is superb though, and I would advise to stay away from the noodle soups. Stick with other hot food or sushi and you should be good to go! PS I could live off of their shumai for the rest of my life!

I like their sushi more luxurious than Sushi 33 per roll. I tried their red curry pad Thai . I won't order it again. It is supposed to be spicy from the curry instead it was only sweet from the coconut milk. Not the right combination. So it was actually gross. or else their sushi is good fresh and their scallop dynamite is great.

I order from this place approximately weekly and its consistently good. Not the best place to sit and eat in but delivery wise and food wise they are good. Large menu with decent prices and friendly staff.

I've only ordered delivery here before. I work in an office near so I would often order the lunch specials from here. The portions are pretty good for the lunch boxes. I would say the salmon teriyaki is almost certainly my favorite. The chicken tastes a little artificial but still good. I've also had the pork katsu- it was very dried even with the sauce. Maybe I should try it in the restaurant. I really like the salads they include because of the ginger dressing. The lunch bento comes with a soup, salad, and California roll or shumai. I usually treat the Cali rolls and shumai as appetizers so I don't wait for big portions for them anyways. Maki lunch I think is two rolls and you have the option for three rolls but it would cost extra.

Hands down one of my preferred take-out Japanese restaurants! Their sushi is very fresh and they give out big portions. My favorite items from the menu are the sesame tuna, American dream particular roll, ika yaki and sushi combo. A must try!

I totally love this restaurant. One of the best sushi restaurants I've dined at. I will definitely recommend this place and dine there regularly.

Ordered the sashimi deluxe combo, spicy tuna roll and a few other items. Everything was tasty and piece size was good for the cost. A lady called me asking whether I wanted hand roll or maki roll, Maki roll is 6 pieces and hand roll is one piece so I went with the maki. Delivery was pretty fast and really appreciate the phone call so my order can be what I wanted.

I've ordered from this place through Grub Hub, and the sushi was not bad. The service was fast, and the order was right. They don't put any chopsticks which was a little bit weird, I mean how else you will eat sushi. I ordered simple rolls like California roll, Philadelphia roll, Spice Salmon roll, and Salmon avocado roll. Will order again.

ordered through seamless- food is improved than average, they actually listen to your requests. that's enough for me to give them 5 stars. i asked for crispier pork katsu and extra sauce and it was done- so i was happy about that. they give you a full dimension salad with sauce on the side for one of the combo/specials- which is a plus. would order again. nice delivery guy too !

I've been ordering take out from them for the past couple of years and they haven't let down once. Delivery is usually 30-45 minutes during the lunch hour with me being less than 1 mile away so no complains here. Will continue to order!

They re branded as Shogun Japanese Restaurant as of June 2016. Not sure if organization or how they do things has changed however. Menu is large, tons of option to order from. Min. on credit card is 10. Delivery was reasonable around 30-40 min. Affordable options, portions are large so you get like 1.5-2 meals from a bento box, sushi is filling, nice takeout containers as well imo compared to some takeout places I've been too.

This is my go to Japanese spot. They have been nothing but expert, making the best sushi in the area. They moved from a location that was closer to my job, but atleast they deliver. I was such a good customer they once gave free a free drink. You can't go incorrect.

Fresh fish for a good price. Always order from them in GrubHub and have never been let down so far.

Dear Mado Management, I have ordered from your restaurant innumerable times. The food is fine. But I will not be coming back. I am typically a generous tipper (20%), always giving in cash to make sure delivery drivers feel valued. I'm sorry I only had $1 (5%) for tip this one time but there is no reason for your delivery worker to be so rude and to curse at me. As I recall privilege is a courtesy and there's no reason for foul language.

Ate at the place and had delivery abundance of times. Food is always fresh. Waiter and delivery give good service. Happy with this little spot.

I've been to Mado a million times as I live in walking aloofness. I went today and as usual AH- MAZE-ZING! Some of the freshest eel & salmon I have ever laid my pescatarian mouth on. Like Butta from the sea! However.. Be forewarn, this spot has close to zero ambiance, but for takeout, or to live in one of the few tables on the floor, you will love it and the prices are just as good.

This review is for delivery on a Sunday evening. It took 30 minutes to arrive after ordering on seamless even though likely delivery was 50 minutes- a plus!!! The sushi for two ($34) was very filling and it even came with two orchids as beautification and half an orange- a nice touch. We also ordered the Kani salad which was lacking in Kani, but the sushi made up for it- probably wouldn't get the Kani salad again. It is an excellent option for take out sushi and I would definitely order from them again! They give A LOT of wasabi, ginger and soy sauce which is greatly appreciated! The delivery man was very respectful and said thank you (I've had bad experiences with some delivery guys in the area). Overall, good sushi for the price!

Food is forever good here and I've ordered from this place for about 2yrs however the delivery guy is not friendly at all. If I lived within walking coldness I would just walk.

I've ordered from Mado a few of times now and they're forever great. The food is fresh and they deliver right on time. I highly recommend their chicken teriyaki. Very generous portion for the price. And of course their sushi is wonderful!

During the recent whiteout, we realized we were not as prepared as we thought. We ran out of booze and snacks! The horror... We opened up seamless and tried calling several places and they were all closed... Except for Mado. Not only were they open, they could deliver... And they could bring Sake and Beer to us... Along with a ton of sushi. (Definitely over ordered, that's what happen when you seamless while drinking). An hour or so later our food and booze arrived. I typically go to another sushi restaurant closer to my apartment, but they don't have the selection that Mado has.
