I've been hearing a lot of good things about Akino and have been meaning to go for the longest time. It's safe to say I'm not let down. Both the food and service were great. When we were seated, our waiter came over to give us an overview of the menu and taught us how to order. He was also very attentive, coming over manifold times to fill our tea/water. Now on to the food, I was so happy that Akino have unlimited sashimi. So we were able to eat till our hearts content. The rolls were also really good, the rice to sushi ratio was also perfect. My favorite was the phoenix roll, it got a kick to it! absolutely give it a try if you like spicy food.

We came here for a shock birthday party for a friend. The restaurant is very small but they were very helpful to all 19 of us who all came at various times. They were very kind and attentive even though we took up almost half the restaurant. Now the important part, the food is quite good. My son and I split salmon avacado roll, spicy tuna roll, and two special rolls. They had a deal for the particular rolls, buy one and the other is half off. My husband got the pork katsu and fried rice. (They also have an all you can eat sushi deal. ) Our friends were also impressed with their sushi dishes.

I've been to a lot of all you can eat sushi and by far this is one of the best place. I went for dinner and I also tried their lunch. Theirs a huge price dissimilar because for dinner its around $26 and for lunch its $16 but for dinner you have more food choices. The place is clean and simple and servers are attentive and fast. The taste of everything we got was all tasty. All of us enjoyed our dinner. Our top favorite is the salmon dragon ball and the tuna dragon ball. They also have salads and I always get the avocado salad and kani salad then mix it together. For places like this I advise to order a little bit of everything like maybe 1 piece each so you get to try atleast most of everything in their menu. Shoutout to our waitress Cristina! shes very friendly and attentive.

I was coming into this semi-new AYCE sushi spot with some expectations and honestly, I didn't come out too let down. If I were to compare this to other spots like Sushi Village and The River in Queens, I'd say Akino has better quality in terms fish and appearance. The cuts of sashimi were normal sized rather than cubed and little clusters when ordered. They also had a good amount of different rolls to offer, instead of the same ingredients with just different clever names. The eel fried rice was very filling but tasty...but don't make the same mistake and fill up on it (you gotta beat the system!!).

I'm going to give it 5 stars in hope that this place does crazy business & doesn't leave me like Sugar Club An AYCE sushi place that I never knew I needed. Price is cheaper than the AYCE in Forest Hills (I shalt not name names), and also the one in Astoria. And the ones in Manhattan. I've been to them alllll baby! Akino is the best. Kitchen entrees are all outstanding. Major props to the stir fry vegetable udon. Don't stray from the salmon sushi, sashimi, or even in rolls. Shrimp sushi is a close second. Everything else (fish) is mediocre. If you don't believe me, get 1 piece of sashimi of each fish option and then make sure to like, subscribe, and slide into my dm-- I mean, admiration that I'm right and you were wrong all along!

One of the best sushi rock places I've ever been to. Me and my boyfriend went there on Friday late afternoon. First of all, the place was clean and didn't smell like a fish market (Some sushi places smell like a fish market if they don't clean well). Very helpful server, she explained the price and menu clearly. I like their menu showing in both languages (English and Chinese). Foods are tasty and fresh. I like taro tempura, sirloin beef, thick cut sashimi, and various signature rolls.

in the middle of the Taiwanese, Malaysian, Thai, and Vietnamese restaurants come forth Akino, an all you can eat Japanese restaurant. Pricing per person is sensible particularly when you're starving and need to fulfill your excruciating craving for sushi. Not only do they have sushi, they have a selection of appetizers and hot dishes to choose from. I would say they provide an ample list of options to choose from. Keep in mind that the appetizers, excluding edamame & salads, are going to come out as 1 piece per order. If you put a "1" next to chicken wings, you're literally going to receive 1 chicken wing. The salmon and tuna bombs are quite delicious, but don't eat too many of them.

For an AYCE sushi joint, this might be my top 3 in NY. The price is fair for what they offer. There's your standard sushi, sashimi, and hot appetizers. The cuts are very kind so you don't have to keep ordering 50 pieces of everything. The rolls are also good because they're not overstuffed with rice to fill you up like most other AYCE places. The one thing that makes me gravitate to this restaurant is their yellowtail sashimi and app. I'd come back just to have that only! I've been to places that offered yellowtail as AYCE and it was either not fresh or the cuts were super thin and miserly.

Best sushi restaurant hands down. Price is pretty high but it absolutely reflects the food. It's a huge range of selection and the menu helps you not waste food by ordering in pieces for the hors d'oeuvre. That allows you to try something and not have to commit to ordering a whole set.

    • I'm usually cynical of any 'all you can eat' or buffet restaurants, but this was a nice surprise. I've eaten here for dinner several times and time after time had a good experience. The quality of the sashimi is very good. If you want to eat your money's worth, I would get all sashimi and the special rolls. Waiters are attentive and fast paced. Its time a japanese restaurant opened in this area. Go hungry!

This place is freaking amazing! Good playlist for the songs btw, creates a very fun environment while enjoying your sushi. Also, our server Shan rocks! We were never left without water, he was always checking up on us. He also explained how the menu works, and had optional some items. 5 star for sushi, 5 star for environment, 5 star for service! Will def come back here!

For an all you can eat spot, this place is pretty good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It is a very small restaurant and it gets pretty busy. Their fish is very fresh. Although their rolls are cut into smaller piece, they do not give a lot of rice, unlike a lot of other sushi places I know. They even have all you can eat sashimi. Just be watchful when you order kitchen food. The numbers next the items means the quantity for 1 order so if you put 1 next to chicken wing, 1 order is 1 wing. I'd absolutely come back again.

I love good sushi but sometimes you want amount over quality. And when you do, I think Akino should be your choice! The price ($25) is logical. You can tell they tried a lot harder with the variety of specialty rolls. And they also had a great selection of cooked foods. Some of the dishes that really stood out to us were: Elite Roll, Tiger Roll, Tuna Tataki (even though the portion was quite small), Sirloin Beef, and Fried Scallops.

Came here a couple times for take out and most recently for their AYCE lunch. Food: by AYCE standards, better than most, 4.5 out of 5. In comparison to regular sushi restaurants though, maybe around 2.75-3 out of 5. Do give them credit for freshness of the fish, haven't tasted anything funny. Service: helpful staff, they came around and refilled water several times during our 2 hour meal. We arrived at 11:45am on Saturday when the restaurant was attractive empty but the amount of time it took to get food was a bit longer than usual, maybe 20-25 minutes. They apologized for this which we appreciated, and brought out a couple fried dumplings for us to nibble on first before the sushi was ready

I wished I took more pictures, BUT I have got to say, Akino's sushi is SO GOOD and appearance is super nice bearing in mind this is sushi buffet. I went during dinner time because that is when Akino has their special sushi obtainable. Coming during dinner is definitely going to be more expensive than lunch hours, but it is worth trying their specials, particularly the Akino roll - crispy toppings but warm and textured shrimp rice and sauce blends so well. I classically go to Sake in Brooklyn for their sushi buffet, believing that their sushi is delicious and cheap, but I have got to say, Akino's sushi excellence definitely beats Sake's. Akino's regular sushi like spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and eel are super good.

This is almost certainly the best AYCE sushi in Queens. I came here on a Saturday night with my boyfriend. We walked in and saw plenty of tables but they were all kept so I highly suggest you make a reservation. The wait was 30-45 minutes so we determined to put our name down and wait in the car. I love how Akino is located in a plaza so there is a parking lot. It can be hard to find parking around since it's in the middle of Elmhurst.

Hands down the best AYCE spot in all of NYC. I keep coming back to this place. Sushi village and river just doesn't do it for me. For 26.99 (weekend dinners) a person, you can not go wrong. The fish is always fresh. The rice is in fact sushi rice. The rice to fish ratio is on point. They don't just load your sushi with all rice like some other AYCE places just so you can get full off of all the carbs. I usually stick with the nigiri/sushi pieces, sashimi, and the regular rolls. The special rolls are not that great to me. Their sushi appetizer (tuna tataki and salmon tataki) are bomb! Their regular hot appetizers are also really good. I highly advocate the beef sirloin and the eel fried rice

For $25.99 sushi AYCE, it's pretty good. Unlike many of the other AYCE places here, you can order unlimited sashimi pieces. Though truthfully, the fish is much better in sushi form. The salmon was almost certainly the most fresh fish, and all the others were just okay, but still good for AYCE quality. They have an extensive menu so there are a lot of options for rolls, apps, and handrolls. If you are in Queens, definitely check this place out!

All you can eat sushi! What doesn't sound better than that? This was my first all you can eat sushi in Flushing, have had a few others out on Long Island and it was good-looking good! There are so many different menu options at Akino, Sushi, Fish, appetizer. You can other as much as you'd like, but you will have to finish it all or they will charge you.

I've been here multiple times now at all hours and all in all, their quality is excellent for a sushi buffet. The rolls are not extremely padded with rice and the service is superb every time. The lunch buffet does not come with sashimi but I think it's still worth it for unlimited rolls and etc. The dinner clearly has a larger selection with sashimi which is usually fresher compared to other establishment.

I'm always skeptical about all you can eat. But this time their fish are so fresh. The salmon melts I. Your mouth. I like how this place serves limitless sashimi. Their particular rolls can be tiny though but I don't mind because I can try different rolls and order a lot more rather than them being extra large and eating one roll can fill you up.

Akino can be better and use some improvement but I'm purely giving this place a 5 star due to Christina! She was never our server but she always went out of her way to provide outstanding customer service! This place has never failed me. Although service and food may be slow at times with thought that the place is crowded and full during the weekend... LOVE the versatile menu, the dragon avocado ball is one of my favorites. The fish is typically fresh and even the fried dishes are pretty good!
